Maybe she was taken away by immigration or maybe something bad happened to her. Minerva doesn't want to tell anyone in case her mom would get in trouble when she comes back. Suddenly she is the only person taking care of her younger siblings, and it is hard. They don't have hardly any food or money in the house, but then random treats start appearing and then some money and Minerva has no idea who is behind it. All she knows is that glitter has been left behind each time they get something. Who is leaving them these gifts? Where is their mom? On These Magic Shores is a good book about a strong girl who is just trying to take care of her family.

He is going to lie to his family so they think he is spending the day with Phoebe when really he is going to go to the airport and get on a plane to Singapore to visit his dad all by himself. He brings his journal along with him to document the experience. But not everything goes to plan, especially when he sees a classmate at the airport. Suddenly secrets start to come out about Henry and his friendships and his school. Fly on the Wall is a good story for those who like reading about funny adventures! |
