When she gets there she notices that there are missing posters hung up that say Riley went missing three months ago and no one has seen him since. Cat has spent the past five years avoiding touching anyone, refusing to get too close to people. But when a body shows up in the town with strange marks, Cat thinks that this person and Riley's disappearance are somehow connected. She needs to decide if she is going to open up to anyone and use her power in order to figure out what is going on. You Were Never Here is a fantastic thriller! I had a hard time putting it down and just had to know how it ended.

Jorge and Cesar are shocked. Jorge is more willing to spend time with their dad and even though he's angry, he agrees to call her Norma, the name she is going to go by from now on. Cesar, on the other hand, is absolutely furious at her and refuses to talk to her. He doesn't want anybody to know this secret. He doesn't get why she can't just live as a man. When a new girl moves in to school, Jorge has a huge crush. He is torn because he doesn't want to keep secrets from her but he is worried that if he tells her that his dad is trans that she will not want to hang around him anymore. The Greatest Superpower is about accepting and loving our people for who they are. While the characters didn't deal with this situation perfectly, neither do people in real life. When she tries to bring Tam into her world, it doesn't quite work. Tam doesn't fit in with her friends; Kate's mom doesn't understand why she spends time with her. Maybe they really don't belong together; but why is the thought of that so awful? Redwood and Ponytail is a beautiful story about first love and about figuring out who you are. Unfortunately, with so much on her plate Shenice is struggling on the field. How can she be the leader her team needs her to be while also trying to figure out more about her family? Fast Pitch is a fantastic story for those who loved Clean Getaway. Lovers of sports will enjoy! |
