When Zuri goes on a college visit, she unexpectedly finds herself spending time with Darius, and she doesn't quite know how to feel about it. He acts one way but then she can sometimes see a different side of him. She especially doesn't know how to feel about the family after a bunch of different interactions that leave her feeling like they think they are better than she is. This is a fantastic retelling of Pride and Prejudice that readers of romance will love!

Immediately, they start to get a weird, creepy feeling and they hurry home. When Iris gets home, she swears she sees a girl looking at her through her bedroom window. For a school project, Iris and Daniel have to research something related to their hometown in North Carolina. They decide they want to learn more about the grave they found. They do some digging and realize that the clearing they found was part of an abandoned Black cemetery from back in the days when cemeteries were segregated. Iris starts to have nightmares where she will wake up and her window is open. She keeps seeing the same little girl in different places. Soon she finds herself in more danger than she ever though possible. The Forgotten Girl is a fantastic ghost story that has to do a lot with the hard truths of our country's history. He doesn't think that she would have ever left him if she didn't have to. When Danny starts to see strange symbols, he believes they are leading him to find Rio Luna and his sister. Suddenly Danny finds himself on a great adventure. The Way to Rio Luna is a great fantasy novel perfect for fans of The Land of Stories series. |
